Photo of the Week: Herding Water Buffalo in Sapa

A trip to the ATM in Sapa can turn into an adventure quickly. While I was occupied dodging scooters, minivans, and hill tribe touts, this guy nearly ran me down. Thankfully, they move slowly.

Another great photo, Wes. How are you always in the right place at the right time for these shots?

That is simply amazing. Must be a water buffalo whisperer — I’ve heard about them. How did he keep them in line, promise them a treat?
