Photo of the Week: The Bodhnath Stupa in Kathmandu

Travel Photo: The Bodhnath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal

The Bodhnath Stupa is a must-see for anyone visiting Kathmandu. Believed to have been built in the 14th century, it is a major pilgrimage site and you’ll find the devout praying at shrines, spinning prayer wheels or performing prostrations. A stairway on the north side allows you to access the upper level and the inner stupa. Bring sunglasses, as the light can be blinding on a sunny day.
