When my friends Mark and Sa asked me to play photographer at their wedding, I was thrilled. They had a traditional ‘Chiang Mai-style” ceremony, complete with traditional outfits and chanting monks followed by a night of eating, drinking and dancing. It was a wonderful day.
As I was the official photographer, I was allowed to be witness every part of the ceremony and it was an amazing experience. I’ll be following up soon with a photo essay soon but I’m still digging through the 500+ shots.

I was just asked to play wedding photog too! So I’m really excited to see the pics that you took. This one is gorgeous!!!
Thanks, Andi. I think you’ll have a lot of fun. I know I did.
It’s beautiful Wes. You captured the entire event with this snapshot :)
Thanks a bunch.
Wes, as everyone already said this is an awesome picture. All of the vibrant colors, along with the symbolism you captured with the wedding rings, holding hands, and wedding attire is simply beautiful.
Thank you, Rebecca! I hope the other shots turn out as well…
Wow! That is a great shot. My international marketing teacher showed us his Thai wedding and the pictures were spectacular. The ceremony was traditional and during the reception the bride had a “western” style dress. So beautiful. I can’t wait to see the rest of these pictures.
Really nice photo!
