Photos: The Streets of Hanoi

wedding - travel photos from Hanoi

Hanoi is one of those cities you either love or hate. It’s polluted, noisy, chaotic, and choked with traffic. But, wander into the narrow side alleys and back streets and you’ll find peaceful, charming scenes of everyday life where families sit at their doorsteps and chat with neighbors or crowd into a corner to enjoy a bia hoi. I love it.

Mark me down as a “Love it”. It’s the old town side alleys that do it for me. It must have been one of the great cities of the world when the only bikes were bicycles.

Good point! I can only imagine it without the millions of scooters — must have been incredible.
