On my last day in Bangkok a storm rolled through, rattling windows with sharp, percussive thunder and soaking the streets. It was brief, lasting maybe twenty minutes, but brought some welcome relief from the oppressive heat. When it hit, I was having breakfast in a neighborhood cafe and trying to get a handle on my thoughts of the last few days. I saw this little guy charging through the street –obviously well-prepared for the change in weather– and just had time to snap one shot.

Having lived thru two monsoon seasons in Vietnam long ago, I learned that you just learn to live with the rain in Southeast Asia.
