Photo of the Week: Walking Down the Street in Copan Ruinas, Honduras

Copan Ruinas is a wonderful mountain town in western Honduras, right near the Guatemala border. Cobblestone streets, steep hills and friendly people greet you at every turn. I only expected to stay a couple of nights, but spent four nights visiting the Mayan ruins, eating tasty Honduran food and drinking rum.

I never made it there, but I heard the town is wonderful and relaxing.

With only a little boy would make this picture similar like others. But the colors of the wall make this a nice shot! Nice composition!

Terrific photo – it really captures Copán. Everything in Honduras comes in a single-serving bag that you spill or suck on — ice pops/cream, juice, water, soda … I live there and work as a volunteer at Mayatan Bilingual School.
