Looking through my old photos is really making me antsy to get out in the world and capture some more. In the meantime, here are a few I had at hand. Click on the image for a full-size view.

Amazing! I particularly love the first one. It tells so much on the place, the culture. There’s no need for words. The photo holds such an intensity that goes straight to the heart.
Congratulations!

Varanasi is incredible. Every aspect of life is there in the raw — amazing place. I can’t wait to go back.
Great Shot! Although at first i thought maybe we were about to witness an execution! I like the angle – very cool. I tweeted ya too!
Bethany´s last blog ..HikeBikeTravel.com -Thanks for the shout out!
Thanks Bethany! All along the Ganges in Varanasi there are steps and platforms and such — makes for some very interesting angles.
I just love these photos! My favorite is the first one, as well as the tibetan prayer bells. I’m just learning how to use my D-70, what type of lenses do you normally carry around? Some of the shots look HDR, are they? :) Great work!!

Thanks, Aly! None of these are HDR — they’re actually scans of old prints, shot on film so I think the contrast is kind off crazy. For the trip, I’m taking 2 zoom lenses — they’ll give me coverage from about 28mm to 400mm, shooting on a Rebel XSi…
Great-looking site, btw — looking forward to following your adventures.
